The main idea of this work is about hiding away from the city, and coming back to nature. People in Hong Kong, haunted by high technology and fast paced living, are under so much stress. The city is packed with tall buildings and I can hardly find a decent piece of sky and a spot with trees and grass to sit on. Metaphorically, cloak may refer to anything that hides or conceals something. The work is associated with elements of countryside. Once getting inside the garment, it enables the model to get rid of the busy city, and have fun in the world of tranquillity. The form of the cloak changes according to the body and gesture of the model. It transforms into different ‘landscapes’ – each of them is unique.
