This work takes geometrical forms and mixes them with the organic shapes of the human body. The result creates a big contrast or a nice harmony. Moreover, this work explores the idea behind origami, that of transforming form from 2d to 3d space. When a piece of paper occupies a space from empty to a certain volume, it creates a special atmosphere within the work and the space around.
In this project,Lau Ka Shing, Kenji studied Japanese traditional origami. During the development process, he explored the techniques and concept of origami and created an elongated extension from the head – a form that reacts with the space around it.
